Exercise Physiology
An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is an allied health profession that is accredited through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) specialise in clinical exercise intervention for a broad range of acute, sub-acute and chronic disease or injuries.Treatment aims to prevent or reduce the risk of certain injuries and conditions or reduce the effects of certain conditions through exercise and education interventions.

Accredited Exercise Physiologists can't do:❌ Manual Therapies such as massaging, joint manipulation or muscle manipulation (Exception of joint and muscle manipulation strictly during functional assessment and testing and while performing assistive stretching )❌ Dry needling and/or cupping therapies ❌ Diagnosis of injury/conditions
Who can Accredited Exercise Physiologists work with?AEP's can work with anyone who would like to use exercise as a form of treatment (in conjunction with other treatment if necessary) from people with sporting injuries, to people with chronic or lifelong conditions such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson's and many more.AEP's are qualified to work with Private, NDIS, Medicare, DVA, Defence, Workcover and CTP clients.
